Do you really have to have an active public github profile in order to get reached out when applying online directly? Also, do you have to contribute to an open source project as well? I use github enterprise at work all day everyday and my profile is private. You see dark green everywhere and tones of projects since I’m involved in several products. I have a public github with irrelevant and old projects/code. I don’t have time outside of work to code and don’t want to fake it by creating random new projects. Thanks! YOE: 15 TC: 💩 Full Stack

Nope, having a public github profile is not a requirement for considering your application. Which position did you apply for and how long ago? Feel free to DM me if you don’t want to share publicly.
