Modern day technical account manager
A customer success manager is essentially an account manager. The role can vary from focusing on building a strong relationship with clients and driving usage and adoption of the company’s service/tool to a sales type of position where you are responsible for increasing the $ value of that account and ensuring the client renews their contract every year, or something in between. Needs a strong sense of customer service and advocating for your clients internally when the product needs to be improved. Can be stressful if you’re responsible for sales as well as the relationship as sometimes what’s best for the customer is not necessarily the product, feature or service the company wants you to push on them. Left my previous company partly for that reason.
What is a customer success manager. Sounds like a made up title.
