Good job Apple by revoking enterprise certificate of evil Facebook. Once again Apple valued our privacy.

Indeed Apple is the saviour of human kind. Respecting privacy is in DNA of Apple right from Steve's era. These Facebook guys just do anything for user data and go to any extent for it. They are just evil.

Also Apple saved us from evil IBM.

Also Apple tried to save us from evil Microsoft. But sadly they dominated the market and still they are doing evil things like giving back door access to NSA.

Now it is time for Apple to save us from Google and Facebook. They need to stop these evil guys from conquering the world.

It is Apple vs Google & Facebook.
It is good vs evil.
It is treating customer as human vs treating customer as product.
It is respecting privacy vs destroying privacy.

But sadly just because Apple is doing good things to society many people will hate them and try to pull them down. Anyway Apple should not care about these scumbags and they need to continue their fight against these big corporations from ripping off common people.

But yeah a company that has a FaceTime bug that allows randos to spy on you totally respects privacy

Yeah there’s a significant difference between a bug in software and a company like Facebook that exists to farm and sell people’s information to the highest bidder.

@ANUS lmao can’t believe I just got told HR “does not represent a whole company” y’all are on fire today with these jokes 😂

To the public, as an employee you ARE a representative of the whole company. Any basic HR training video will tell you that.

And @jinn25 so just because one company is worse means the FaceTime bug is totally ok right?
      Jan 31
    • Apple jinn25
@username no, but the FaceTime bug has no bearing on the companies commitment to privacy. It absolutely sucks that the devs and QA missed this bug, but it’s drastically different from other companies that violate your privacy as their business model.

What Kool aid did Apple give you ? Seriously, their product security is some of the worst. Watch Tim cook will come of their high horse ... As their revenue from iPhone comes down. All these companies are after profit with different business models. Their philiosphy is governed by this. Nothing more ... Nothing less.

Nope. Apple is something different. Look at their history. Their whole motto (Steve's vision) is to make technology simple and make it available to everyone. They are having some core values which sets it apart from rest.

Sure they have the ability to design simple products to use ... That is completely different from saying they wouldn't monetize via private data if they needed to.

Till now they have not. If they do it in future it is responsiblity of every sensible person to oppose them and neglect them.

But right now Google and Facebook are crossing their limit too much and we people should support Apple who are fighting against those scumbags. Because this is something serious.

Available to everyone? Since when were Apple products available to everyone? Last I checked they sold products at the highest market rates. ‘Everyone’ can not afford 1k+ iPhones, that’s why the market share of smartphones is not comprised of Apple products.

    FB interview is a joke.

A fresh clueless PhD decides if a 10+YoE is fit for the job.

FB engineering is great though. Their projects are fantastic and cutting edge.

But the selection process is dumb ass.

Microsoft has no process for hiring. Every team does random shit. No planning on what to ask. No credit for interview time

I agree the interview process isn’t great for senior engineers, as it’s more suited for recent grads. We are working on improving it, and have introduced different types of interviews for E6+ candidates. Still needs more improvements though.

Apple has lost trust. Its trying to play good cop by bashing fb. There’s nothing great about iPhones anymore, so it’s finding new ways to market it.
Its not the same company after steve left.

What Apple won’t do, at least for now, is make it easy for you to get your data so you can check out what exactly Apple has held onto. ...
Apple hides the data request deep inside the privacy section of the website. To get there, it’s four clicks from the main page and buried in the 11th subhead on the page. https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/talkingtech/2018/04/17/apple-make-simpler-download-your-privacy-data-year/521786002/

Actually it’s available on the first page when you login to your Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. Moreover, Apple was one of the first if not THE first to offer data in this way. Everyone else has just followed suit.

Apple for brainless mactard, I can customise my own pc and make it a gaming monster at far lesser price than macbook. For coding I use Linux, I can customise my os entirely.

      OP
That is the whole point. What you are saying is really complex for common people. So they can't get access to technology. This is what exactly IBM used to do. They neglected the PC saying common people don't want the access to technology. Apple taught them lesson. They made technology simple and made it access to everyone. Apple is all about openess and making things simple. So common people can make use of it and do the things they are good at.
