Came here to see the all the republican butthurt. Was not disappointed.

Once you snowflakes get over yourselves you’ll realize that he got shitcanned for slandering his employer in public, and for being generally disagreeable with his coworkers as explained in the article.

      @Vjek873 - Now you’re just making assumptions.

@YUNOSlayer - I’m willing to bet the people who control who appears on TV have absolutely no idea who you are. But, go ahead and prove me wrong.

A joke is a display of humor in which words are used within a specific and well-defined narrative structure to make people laugh. Nothing about your previous statement speaks to any of this.

Of course. At least Google isn’t trying to hide their bias anymore.

Is it possible he was fired because he went on a network news channel as an employee and didn’t clear it with PR? That’s a no-no at Apple and I’d be surprised if Google is any different.

I think they made the right call to fire him. The interview made Wacker sound foolish. Google would be better off with fewer far right conservatives, I think.

From an outsider’s pointer view, it seems like Google has a very pro-Trump bias and I hope they try to change that to be less pro-Trump biased

Nothing wrong with having political beliefs from any party, religious beliefs from any religion, etc.

But what is up with going on national news and trashing your employer?

I would assume I would get fired after something like that. The article shows the news video and tweet which happened well before last Wednesday (when he was fired).

Well criticising in an interview is no worse than holding a walkout and criticising your employer—on company time !

Walk outs on company time criticising employer — not fired.

Criticise employer on personal time in an interview— fired.

Of course it has nothing to do with their views. Just a coincidence I guess?

You do know at least one of the main organizers of the walkout left citing retaliation?

I have no idea why anyone who isn’t a bleeding heart liberal would even consider working at Google. You’d always have to be careful about who you are. Making sure your secret never left the closet. What a terrible way to live!

Yeah, except only one side acts on their bigotry to publicly ruin people’s lives. The other side just wants to be left alone.

Google as we all know really cares about diversity.
So the best way to ensure diversity is to suppress dissent. Makes a lot of sense to me!
