Google - 3+ Months No Team Match

I interviewed at Google mid May for ML eng in the Seattle office. Packet went through hiring committee, and I got approved at T5 level. Since then I met with 3 teams, but none worked out either because I wasn't interested or they decided to go with internal transfers. Recently my recruiter closed my process but said not to sorry since HC results are still valid for a year (though it feels a bit like we've given up at this point). Does anyone have advice on how to proceed from here if I want to work at Google? I'm firm on doing ML and staying in Seattle/Kirkland. 6 YOE, currently FB E5

Uhh yeah so Google sucks at this part of the process. I had to inform my recruiter that they were taking too long so I was taking on more interviews. They found me a seat pretty quickly after that.

Someone seems get rejected after saying that to the recruiter.

Dunno. Seems weird for it to work like that. You're just keeping them informed.

Me too — except I got accepted for L5 ML SWE back in January, also Seattle/Kirkland. Seems there’s almost nothing here. Major WTF. I was at Google previously in MTV. I just signed an offer letter elsewhere since Google sucks at this. I told Google I needed to make a decision in 2 weeks and they said they’d find another team for me to talk to but they never did. I actually did get a team match in January but they made a crazy lowball offer (lower than I was making at L4 2 years ago!!) so I declined and they wouldn’t budge significantly without a competing offer. So I came back several months later with a competing offer but the previous position was gone and there were very few teams hiring apparently.
