TC will be disclosed after Google extends an offer or declines (afraid that my recruiter might be on Blind) Any Googlers able to share any insight on expected acceptance rate once an applicant hits the hiring committee stage? I asked my recruiter about the success rate at this stage, she declined to comment. What sort of factors does HC look at? Are they mostly looking at my behaviors, Googliness or is my technical aptitude up for evaluation (again)? I don't know if the speed of the process is any indication of success but the timeline was as follows: 1 design phone interview, positive feedback < 3 days later. Skipped 2nd phone interview (unsure of whether this was an indication of strength or whether the fact that I had an AMZN offer pending allowed me to bypass the second phone interview). On-site 1 week later, which went fairly well. <48 hours after onsite I was notified that my packet will be submitted to the hiring committee. Now I've spoke with hiring manager for one team and have another meeting tomorrow.
I don't understand why they wouldn't share. They had no problem telling me ~3 years ago that HC was 70% pass rate, then quickly up to 98% once though them.
Maybe I'm marginal? No idea
Does it matter? You will be a 1 or a 0. There is no in between.
No it doesn't matter except to temper my expectations.
Not really. You might be asked to attend 1 or 2 more telephonic if you happen to be a borderline candidate!
My recruiter told me a few months ago it’s 60-70% past hc. That said, I didn’t make it and neither did one friend recently. So doesn’t seem like she was lying :p
What was the feedback like for you and your friend?
According to another thread where this was discussed, it's like 20%
Is there a single HC globally or one for every dev center ? Or maybe one for each country/region ?
Haha I made a thread with the same question. Seems like nobody really knows 🤣
Well good luck to you! What group you interviewing for if you don't mind disclosing?
