I see too many job openings for Google India especially Bangalore region, however, there seem to be *very few* interesting teams/products that are being worked on there, considering Bangalore to be the silicon valley of India. Google Bangalore has the following teams: Google Home & Nest, Search, GPay, and few others. Even if people choose to go there, they might not end up working on anything that intriguing. What I'm unable able to understand is people's dream of working in a company like that? Where there might not be anything challenging to do? Is google paying that well or am I missing something here? Also, can anyone from the Bangalore team please validate this judgement? TC: 20L, INR
I'm assuming one needs to have competing offers in order to squeeze more compensation from Google. Even then, I see many cases were Google still low-ball the offer.
I had a competing offer but did not inform recruiter about that ( I would have if I was low balled) . I was pretty happy with the initial offer I got.
Did you know anything about the team or product you were going to be part of or was that never discussed? Also, are you an M.S grad?
Thanks. This is very informative.
Google doesn't pay top of the band . The reason most people go there is for the brand and possiblities to move to USA
Which companies in India pay top of the band?
Uber used to pay . Not sure after layoffs
