What should I expect? How should I prepare? Is it a standard mix of behavioral and case interview questions? Is more of the emphasis on understanding / knowing the business you’re interviewing with?
Which business? I interviewed for cloud position in MTV running one of the biz ops/strategy teams a while back and questions were in the main about growing the cloud business, with some leadership questions thrown in
Hey, thanks - naming the actual business might give me away so I’ll just say it’s a consumer focused business. Also, the role requires 8+ years of experience so a bit senior.
Probably a head of role then, the role I was offered was L8 and I think they wanted 15 years experience. Would expect questions around sales strategy, channel/partners, value proposition, driving results/measuring impact, managing the team. Overall I did 4 interviews during the onsite and they were pretty standard questions with a mix of tell me about your experience doing X and how would go about doing Y. I ended up not accepting due to role in MTV, and while I could “commute” from Seattle decided I didn’t want to sign up to the impact on family of spending every week traveling down to SJC and wasn’t excited at moving to the area.
