1. Basic probability questions 2. Reasonable knowledge about various topics on statistical inference 3. Algorithms, 4. Programming questions, 5. Hadoop/Spark. Of course any question on ML is fair. If you are generally very good in the above topics, you should be fine else you need a few months of prep.
What type of prep are we talking about here. I'm currently enrolled to Coursera ML course by Andrew Ng. I believe that is the first step. Can you share more pointers, please, on how to prep for a ML/data science engineering position?
