Google HC asking for additional interviews

After onsite, I was told general feedback is good but HC is asking for additional interviews. What does that mean? Is it worth to do those additional interviews (onsite was a while ago and I feel demotivated to invest time prepping again)? TC: 250k

Depends on how much you want Google.

I just wanna know if asking for additional interviews means they are inclined to reject or accept. If they are inclined to reject, I can save my time and energy.

Not inclined for anything... do the rounds and perform well you will get in. Its another assessment otherwise they wouldn't waste interviewer time either ..

This is normal if they had inconclusive feedback about an area, like coding, where one interviewer might say hire and the other not hire. Or that the interview didn't produce enough signal to convince the hiring committee. I'd just come in and do it if you have the patience to deal with Google's lengthy hiring process. Don't worry too much about prepping.

Worth it. Ask what rounds are required? Maybe it's behavioral? Its easier to prepare for those. What level is this for?

Congrats

it can goes either way. I got a reject last year after follow ups.

That's because it can go either way that they ask you to come back... If they knew already they wouldn't bother...

A lot do times the issue wasn’t necessarily you, but the interviewer. If they didn’t take good notes or didn’t follow the “script” well enough, they may want to reinterview for more information.

🤦‍♂️

Google Wulperting Jun 15, 2019

This absolutely happens. Heck, when I interviewed I had to do an additional code interview because my interviewer spent the first 3/4 waxing poetic and almost forgot to have me write any code. If it’s more than one additional interview, though, they probably are split on the candidate. It’s a good sign if they are split and asking for more, rather than just rejecting. They are likely trying to level the candidate.

May be unsure on an area or split between what level to offer.

In my case, it was a level check - I was borderline Senior/Principal

Do it! I got an offer after additional coding interview (2x45 min)
