Base is good. RSU and sign on are average. That makes TC on the lower side. If you have competing offers, shoot for 200K is RSUs.

180k tc is at lower end of entry level at Google nowadays?

How is a combination of good and average result in a TC on the lower end? Wish people would take math occasionally.

It's not a lower end offer. The median L3 swe with less than2 years after graduation probably gets around 150k.

@halleluja, do you mean 150k is average of industry or at Google?
levels.fyi lists average salary of L3 at Google as 176k.
Also, I have not seen any L3 post on blind that says TC less then 160k.

Looks like a fairly decent package to me too. As someone else said, if you have some leverage, try asking for more stock.

    How did you calculate 179k? 125k base + 140k/4 years + 25k sign on = 185k first year and 160k after

With two years at MS (s)he'll definitely be meeting expectations (or better) as L3, so I think it's safe to count the 15%.

15% is not guaranteed, it's the projected bonus. You can get more than that if you do well (I got 21% this year), less than that as well(got about 13% 2 years back).

I would shoot for a higher rsu. I think you can push for 200k in rsu.
