Google L4 London comp

A friend is being offered this in London office at L4: base: 78k gbp stocks: 119k usd no sign on bonus 15% usual annual bonus. Is it good? or is he being lowballed? He has an offer from amazon too, but that's lower than this: base: 67k gbp stocks: 75$ usd bonus: 25k, 20k gbp. He feels that he's being lowballed by google after he shared his amazon tc with them, specially in terms of stocks. What do you think? YOE is 4. He's currently based in India, not working in FANG.

Negotiate more with google. If they don’t budge then take the current offer or leave it.

that seems really low

Yeo? I would suggest push on the stocks. There is definitely margin there. And never spill exact numbers from offers in future to competing recruiters. Negotiation 101.

I checked. couldn't find stocks given to new joinees. only has refreshers.

The TC is expected to be 0.7 of US TC. Find US number and convert.

I heard that you keep your equity when transferring locations. So wouldn’t it make sense to work in Bay Area for 1 year and then transfer back to London? That way you don’t get such low equity.

He's relocating from India

UK compensation (including London) is suuuper low compared to US, and especially low compared to cities like NYC or SF

That’s a great offer to be fair

Doesn't seem like he's being lowballled if his only other offer of a lot worse
