I was just given the numbers for Google L4 of 150k base, 320k stock and 25k sign on. I have 2.5 yoe. I also have pending numbers from OCI Senior. Given my yoe, I’m really pumped that I got L4 and want to join Google. Is there any room for negotiation or this is as high as it gets for someone with 2.5 yoe? Thanks!
This is pretty high offer for 2.5 YOE and median for L4. You have masters or PhD?
I only have BS.
Great offer!
Thanks! I have some question about Google below, can you chime in?
Long term skills wise doesn't matter if you join 2 months later. Dont know exact cutoff dates, but if you join now, you should be eligible for rsu next dec. If in Feb, you may or may not.
Congrats!! Great offer. Were you informed before the interviews that you would be considered for L4?
Yes I asked and confirmed
I see a lot of threads about first year refresher at Google. I have a big vest coming up at Microsoft in Feb (50k). Should I just drop that vest, join Google now to get the refresher end of next year or wait for the vest and join in Feb? How much is median refresher for L4?
For 2.5 years of experience, you’ve got a superb package already. I wouldn’t worry much about the vesting RSU at Microsoft. A few tens of thousands is nothing compared to new skills that you will learn. You are young, money will come.
That is $50K you get now vs around $80K GSU you get over 4 years. I would wait for the MSFT vest.
Wow congrats. That’s an awesome offer.
Wait a couple of months if possible. Nothing happens in December anyway
What did you do at Microsoft? Anything Niche? What made consider you for L4 before interviewing?
Definitely room for negotiation given competitive enough competing offers

Wow. Is this Google cloud specific job or Google in general? Congrats!
This is just Google in general. I didn’t match with GCP
Insane for your experience. Congratulations! I mean you clearly have something going, keep it up
