Google L4 vs Uber L4 offers
Google: - Base: 160k - Equity: 420k - Bonus: 15% - Sign on: 70k Uber: - Base: 150k - Equity: 9000 shares(585k at 100B evaluation) - Bonus: 13k cash or 52k refresher - Sign on: 50k 3.5 YOE. Bay area. Both teams are decent. Google is higher in base and sign on but not sure how much the Uber RSU is worth. Can anyone provide any suggestion?

Google. It’s real money you can spend. Uber is paper until ipo happens, and then you have to wait six months after to sell it, and then you’re gambling on it still being worth something after a possible market reset.
The time to ride the IPO wave was 3 yrs ago though. Now he'll just be at the mercy of markets for the next 4 years
Lol no need to get triggered. The right time to join any pre ipo company is 3-4 years before ipo, the year of ipo dumbass. You'll not have anything vested when the IPO happens
