Hi folks, I have a Google offer for an L5 SWE postion: Base 165k Bonus 15% (25k) Stocks 380k Sign on 20k TC 285k This sounds like a pretty average L5 offer, what do you think? Recruiter told me base was maxed out so I should be happy, but I have seen many TCs here and on levels.fyi with higher base. I told them I wouldn't take a pay cut. What is a good L5 offer (eg for someone close to L6)? Current TC 310k (L65), 4 yoe + PhD
What’s usual requirements to keep the sign on? Is there a certain amount of time tu have to stay?
I think usually a year
Watching this to check what other googlers think
U need to get a competing offer from FB or similar to push this L5 offer higher.
Waiting for a competing one from another big tech
Current level?
L65
Is it possible for you to interview with Facebook?
Push for 50k signon?
For L4, I got it upto 285K excluding signon (30). Definitely there is room for L5. Also why are you taking a paycut?
It’s L4 offer
For someone close to L6 good offer is 450-500. 285 with 165 base is ridiculous.
What are your chances of getting to L66 at MS? That’s when you can come to Google as L6
