After months of delay and evaluation Google got back today that they will make an offer. Don't have the paper work in hand, recruiter said offer will be around 400k TC and said will call back "soon" with details. Seattle area Getting ready for discussion whenever that happens. I know Amazon offer is for 4 years. How many years out are standard Google offers ? Also, What is the cutoff date (by when one has to join) for participation in 2020 review cycle. Current TC: 345k
YOE? Team?
What’s your yoe, and domain of expertise?
What role?
16 yoe. Managed teams for 8 of those years. Generalist. No specific domain expertise. Mostly built a bunch of services using cloud components for the past few years.
Are you a PE now? In AWS I take it?
Hoping someone from Google can shed some light on target bonus for L6 level as well as vesting schedule of initial stock grant. Searched blind, it wasn't clear if target bonus was 20% or 30%. Some mention 600k stocks. Not clear what's the vesting schedule.
Target at 6 is 20%. But mostly with decent perf, you should be getting around 30. I used to get 22-28% as L4 during my time there. Vesting is now monthly from day 1.
Vests monthly, divided by 4 years, bonus should be 20%. Review cycle will happen this year, but refreshers won’t come till next year
Thanks folks.
Are you kidding me? My friend’s L4 offer is more than 400k at mtv though
Did u just apply online or did a googler or someone else refer u for the role? How long after u applied did it take Google to get back to you about wanting to interview you? What’s the total time between when you applied and when u were offered a role? Curious as I have applied as well and it’s been over a month and no call for interview
Congrats! 400k in Seattle is like over 500k in Bay Area
