Which would you take and why? Originally from Toronto. Don’t mind weather that much.
Seattle
Mountain View is the heart of Google. Since Sunnyvale is near, you get perks of working nearby (like attending TGIFs). I have been to Ann arbor, Atlanta and Chicago office. They are cool and great but will not match Sunnyvale in any way. Not sure how awesome NY office is but the complete Google experience comes from being in bay area.
Would working in satellite offices (non Mountain View) impact career growth at Google? I’ve heard working at the Microsoft Bay Area offices limits career trajectories. Working at the Redmond mothership increases chances of promos.
Hi, yes, that is what I hear for Google too. Working in bay area gives you better chances of career growth. This is simply because you are exposed to a lot of teams and ppl, it's makes it easy to have interactions with VPs and jump roles.
NYC leads Sunnyvale by a good margin, I am curious to know why? NYC is definitely a great place. Is this the only reason? Savings and cost of living is the same
Purely the amount of single women == Life happiness.
Which is better where? I heard SF girls r way easier
Fuck the Bay Area
NYC in a heartbeat -- especially if you're single. The NYC office is so cool.
How difficult is it to land a role as L4? I interviewed in Sunnyvale.
The question you should be asking is how difficult is it to land a girlfriend greater than a 5 (out of 10) in Sunnyvale or the Bay Area in general.
