Google Negotiation
I have really strong competing offers, but I’m still waiting on initial vp approval. I’m worried if I give the recruiter numbers before approval I’ll be rejected for sure, but if I wait they won’t be able to match because the initial will have been so much lower. Anyone have a similar experience and can give advice?
Have you given your expectations at all? Let the approval come, see the Google offer. Try to negotiate then with the competing offers. Try to get a sense of your interview performance.?Remember the ability to walk away is the ultimate tool, if your performance is great(assume it is if you don’t get a hint from recruiter cuz you cleared the GOOGLE HC, hello😄) they will come behind you and match the highest competing offer you have!
why would they reject if you gave them numbers?
Google will raise significant percentages. Don’t worry about the initial offer being trash.

In my experience google will just match your best other offers maybe beat by one percent
