Google Onsite feedback loop - Too anxious
Blind fam, I recently had an onsite (SWE, likely L5) with Google on Friday last week and just got an email from the recruiter saying "just waiting on 1 piece of feedback and will have next steps for you tomorrow" and asking for my availability to jump on a phone call. Is this good news/ bad news? I don't know how to interpret it and I'm too anxious now. TC: 240k YOE: 6 Update: Got a reject call for the uneven performance in coding rounds. But the recruiter said they are keeping me in the callback loop, meaning I can do on-site directly after 6 months

You're not going to get L5 with 6 yoe. At least that would be very rare.

I did pretty well in the system design but sorta fumbled in one of the coding rounds.
What do you mean by ‘fumbled’? Did you solve the problem? Finish the code? For L5, any blunders in coding round can really bad. Good Luck though.
