Being from systems background I am more comfortable in C. Anyone here could able to clear Google and FB interviews using just C language ? I am planning to apply for systems jobs in these companies.
They will expect you to manage memory, implement parsing, etc. in their coding questions. I've done it and it's a pain. They don't ask you easier questions just because you choose C - You'll have all this additional complexity to deal with. My suggestion, keep it simple and do Java or python. I have a systems background too but it was worth my time and effort to learn python.
Thank you. I thought that I could assume certain library functions exists especially during white board programming. They even want compileable code on white board ?
Why not go for C++. Then you can use STL, templates, <algorithm> as well as c style pointers.
I did. I like C. Call me a masochist I don’t care
Just learn python or something
Ew. Can’t you pick up C++? People might be annoyed if that’s your go to
Possible
Thanks. Do you know anyone who cleared interviews using C ?
