Current situation: Male, 24 googler working in Munich as L3, non European. Problems with Munich: The city is absolutely perfect, IF and ONLY IF you like calm/chill life style. In my case I love and need big and busy cities. Having that in mind, my natural next choice would be either Paris or London, which are the two major cities in Europe. I have a feeling that the tech scene in Paris is weak and this may slow down my career, on the other hand I felt in love for the city during my last vacation, I liked the vibe and the atmosphere. To make it more objectively. Paris pros: beautiful city, apparently good night life with possibility of chilling out (mid 20s already, not really that much of a party guy anymore), women are gorgeous. Cons Paris: language, which should not by that much of a problem, since I speak a romance language already and it makes it much easier. Possibly not good for career, low salaries. Pros of London: HUGE, English speaking, HUGE, better for promotion since it's a big office with more relevant projects, HUGE. Cons of London: Brexit(not sure how it may affect non Europeans citizens, maybe not at all), very expensive, women are..mehh Thoughts? Anyone have worked in both offices? Main concerns are people being friendly and career :)
French women are gorgeous š
I hold a passport that allows me to travel around Europe on a tourist visa pretty easily, so in that regard it should be ok. Do you mean in the context of a economy crash?
Al most all passports will allow u to travel around all most all of Europe ON a tourist visa easily. I think u meant something more that I misunderstand.
Yep, I meant that the only problem I can see in Brexit to a non EU citizen would be financial related.
Go for London. Plenty of french people in London if thatās your thing, and Paris is only a 2 hour train ride away. Brexit will not have much of a tangible impact on day to day for tech careers. Goog / Apple are still planning to build their EU HQs in London. Only real consideration is if you want to become an EU citizen via a work visa, in which case working in EU via google would be the way to go.
Good point, I don't necessarily plan on having an EU citzenship as much as I want a passport that can get me further than the one I currently hold, so in that case the British passport would do it. It's something to think about
Paris sex scene is lit AF. More like fleek. London sex scene is - you donāt want to wake up with any brexiteers..
Howād you get in?
Which salaries are better? And office
Iāve lived in both london and paris - honestly the lifestyle in paris is so much nicer ā¦but I think itās a very personal choice

Brexit should be big, no, HUGE part of your calculations here. Also remove the comma after expensive š
