I interviewed with google 2 months ago for Software Engineer role for Mountain View location. 1 week after interview I got email that they are moving to team matching. I told them I am about to receive another offer so my recruiter also submitted my packet to HC. I cleared HC within a week. I didn't get much response to team matching, I had one call but that didn't work out. Today my recruiter called and told me that SVP rejected my application. I wasn't aware that she submitted my application for SVP approval. Should she have waited for team matching before submitting it to SVP? current TC: 130
What level and location and role
Google Cloud?
Any feedback on why svp rejected?
Is it normal for a SVP to be this involved over what seems to be an entry level role? Maybe the head count is reserved for someone higher level?
You can probably try to find a team in a different org
My recruiter didn't put it as an option and told me try after a year.
Maybe someone you worked with in the past gave negative feedback ?
Probably the SVP was in a bad mood and just opened that internal tool to review applicants, and said "fuck this guy in particular". Then clicked the red button and slammed the enter key to confirm
Lol, made me laugh on a tough day. I am very lucky when it comes to things like these.
Don’t worry. Chin up. You have cracked google man !!
I might be jobless in few months. So not looking forward to it.
Why jobless ? You are stil at msft right ?
SVPs reviewing L3s nowadays? lol, sorry bout that kiddo
Yes - but only if you were looking at several orgs. If you were definitely going to be within the SVP’s org, then she definitely has veto power over your hire
It was for search but I got to talk with android automotive team, they seem like different org to me but I don't know.
