Are recruiters willing to negotiate an internship offer? The offer seems average compared to Facebook and Microsoft. Google: $7350/mo and $9k (will be taxed) relocation and housing Facebook: $8000/mo and corporate housing Microsoft: $7250/mo and corporate housing (+No state tax in Seattle)
You do pay state income tax if you live in a state with income tax even if you work in seattle for the summer
Why would you negotiate intern offer. Its like few hundreds at most in the end
Yeah... unless they really lowball you I don’t see the reason why
I would go for FB.
They don’t typically negotiate intern offers. They can hire someone else if you are so inclined to get just a few hundred bucks more rofl. Just do well during your internship and aim for better comp for full time return offer
Interns that negotiate are .... weird. It feels like kids at a mall selling RC helicopters giving you a hard sales pitch.
I’m surprised Googles comp is so low still. Even Amazon interns in SF/Bay beat it.
Undergrad?
I am an undergraduate but starting my Masters after the internship.
Whoa this is higher than the offer I got. None of the interns I know negotiated but I think you can always ask your recruiter if the offer is negotiable? The worst thing they can do is say no. Echoing blikum's question here Are you an undergrad swe intern?
Everything is negotiable
