Google Team Selection
This is regarding the google hiring process. I have gotten past the interviews and have a call set up with an interested team set up. However I still have not heard from the hiring committee. At what point will I hear from the hiring committee? Do I need to first be approved by the team? And if I am approved, at what point will I get the offer? If the conversation with the team goes well, am I obligated to join them? How long do people typically have to accept their offers if it is given? I know these are a lot of questions, but any help at all would be much appreciated!

Just happened to me. Doing team matching first was much better. If there’s a team match the hiring manager will write a letter of support for you that will be attached to your packet and go to the hiring committee. After you talk with all the teams you get on a call with your recruiter and tell them which ones you’re interested in. It ultimately ended in me getting an offer. Didn’t spend long sitting on it, the numbers were just too good.
