Google Team matched to my 4th choice
I passed HC and L5 SWE at Youtube. Initially, there're a total of 5 teams interested talking to me and I gave my preference list to the recruiter; However, my first top 3 choices are rejected cause the hiring managers went with other candidates. The 4th choice is interested in moving forward with me, but I'm not that interested in the things the team is doing. Should I tell the recruiter that this is a NO team for me, and I'd like to try out different other teams? Also, I'd like to try out things in MTV other than Youtube, it seems like the recruiter is kind unwilling to do so... Any suggestions? YOE 4.5 TC 300K @google
You got matched suck it up and explore for a few months. It might be better to make an informed decision once inside there. Rememebr at this point there are all fair chances - they reverse their offer/ or ask you to contact after 6 months for new openings. They have been known to do that. I will suggest you Evaluate your position
