How long does Google background check process take? How do they perform employee verification? I submitted HireRight form and all it had was education information

I'd not worry, I know a guy they kept after a bg check returned sexual assault charges. I've heard he only had to retire to the board of directors ☺️
Same situation. They didn't contact previous employer. It was internship tho. Finished in 2 days
Mine took a week to complete. They didn't call any of my previous employer, just verified my criminal records and degree.
There's no employer verification. But they will call your school and do a criminal check for every state on your credit report. That's it
What do they ask in the form? Only start/end date or the reason go leaving?

Only few days I had mine done in 2 days and I am waiting to join soon

What was in there was education and criminal check as well as where I lived. They had "spoke with" section and sort of like a ticket number so I assume they either called or emailed. So if it was oversea it can potentially take longer
