Does it vary a lot based on team? In my case, bayarea; recruiter is setting low expectation @ 250k. L5/13y exp. How easy it is to switch management from L5?
My recruiter set 250k expectation for T4
That is really low for L5 at google. Amazon could match that for their L5 which is equivalent to Goog L4.

Thanks! This is the expectation recruiter has set while sharing the interview result.. he also added the interview feedback in every round was very strong. He asked my expectation; I said I want to see the initial offer. Need to see how this will turnout.. Is it that some teams underpay so much below?
Think of "setting the expectation" as "low-ball". For L5, you should target salary+15%bonus+rsu/4 to be around 350 or more. Get competing offers, that would immediately help.
I make that as L4.
