Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

I’m Sooo Happy about Biden signing TikTok ban bill today!!
Hello, I am currently at the hiring committee stage of my google interview, today the recruiter contacted me and informed me that the hiring committee wanted some more information, and precisely code samples. Is this a good or bad sign? does this happen often? EDIT: I have been team matched. So just the hiring committee left
You could be borderline passing and they need more info to see if they should move forward or not. Could also be to determine level.
I have 4 YOE and the recruiter said I might go in at a strong L3 or maybe lower L4. but i really dont know what to think
That's it I bet, borderline, and looking for something to make the decision easier. I'm still confused about hiring committee leveling, but hopefully it's L3/L4 vs hire/no hire! Good luck!
They do this? Is this a new thing to look at outside sources other than just the interview rounds?
Honestly i do not know, i got the request today, so i am trying to figure out if it is a good or bad thing
Seems like if you completely impressed them, they wouldn't need to look at your GitHub.
Never heard of this happening before
Yeah i know, I have been doing research and have not come across someone else with similar experience. In your opinion what do you think a reason for this is? I am pretty worried at this point
So they are finally looking at the right things rather than hiring Leetcode robots.
I got a behavioral round which is new.
It is a good thing because they are still evaluating you
That means they know you’ve been leet’ing. Or if you mentioned you have a bunch of OSS contributions, they are interested and this could be a good thing.
I dont believe i mentioned that OSS, but doesn't everyone leetcode for Google?
I didn't, but then the HC turned me down so...
