Google hiring committee

Hi blind community, First of all, thanks a lot for sharing the information here it is very helpful in knowing many things about interviews preparations yada yada. The entire community is awesome. Thanks everyone who was helpful directly or indirectly. I have been at Google for an onsite interview for a SDET/Test engineer role. I got a call from my recruiter after a while that my profile will be sent to the hiring committee and will find a team for me before that. I would like to know any pointers about what could happen next and how much to expect/negotiate salary. I dont have any competing ofgers in hand right now. Thanks, TC : ~ 180k, base: 143k, 4 YOE

No competing offers? Better get some or expect to get low balled. There’s no way around it. Anyways, good luck!

Do I have have to send them the offer letter from the other company ? How much of a difference can it make ? How much time would I have to get a competing offer ? Sorry for too many questions, just trying to understand.

They generally don’t ask for a copy of the offer letter unless it is outrageous. Anecdote, my friend got from 200 TC to 300 TC because he had two offers and leveraged them very well against each other.

It was decent lot of emphasis on testing strategies and scenarios
