How long will it last? If it is only the summer, not worth negotiate too much. The experience is more important in this case.
It is a three months internship. You’re absolutely right - experience is much more valuable to me. I just have no idea at all how internships in Ireland are paid and whether it can cover the living expenses for this period of time. (e.g. in Germany it is not always the case)
