Considering moving to Google after spending 1 year in FB.
I was wondering is there any difference between New grad and Experienced in their interview?
I have gone through their new grad interview back in College, and it’s all about some hard algorithms questions. If I interviewed again at this time, would they test me more system design and lower the difficulty of algorithms? Or everything stays the same.
Btw, are new grad and experienced people in the same pool when applying?
Thank you!

If you only have 1 year experience you are still a new grad

If you have 6+ months of experience, you're an industry hire. 5 interviews

System/design rounds are harder than Negan’s steel balls.

That would be naive. Google doesn't have better wlb.
In reality, wlb is by team. I enjoy much better wlb in FB than in G

Just as an advice, google can still offer you a l3 role with 6 or 7 years of work experience, this is unfortunately sad

You can also even go out of band if google wants you. But you’ll be miserable until you get promoted since you won’t see big refresh or big bonuses

Also, one question to ask is what is more important, pay or personal growth. If you are truly a l4 and land on a project or a manager where you can’t be working toward l5, you will feel miserable
