Google interview process

If the recruiter asked for a follow-up 5-10 min phone call after a phone interview with the hiring manager, is it a good signal?
In general, I have seen email rejection rather than a phone call. Any of you have had this experience?

Thanks

Can go either way. In my case, it was good news. Good luck!

By the way, how long did your follow-up call last?

It was pretty brief. Just giving me the news and telling me the next steps. Maybe 5-10 mins or so

Like 5-10 minutes. Didn’t pass the onsite though.

Can go either way. Just schedule the call and see what happens.

The hiring manager wouldn’t bother with a call unless they were interested. It’s sometimes called a “sell call”. It may be they think they’re interested but are unsure if it’s a perfect fit and want to talk it out.
