Google l6 to l7
what does it take to go L6 to L7 at Google. assuming good impact, good ratings (what are typically considered good) and good team feedback? what's the typical tenure requirement, what's average, what's above average timeframe? interviewing for potential l6 but aspiring for l7. current MS level l66
66 usually maps to 6. Strong L67 can get L7 tho
Sell a startup or be there for 15 years. Those are the only two I’ve heard about.

How long question doesn’t make sense. You were asking how long can you promote to partner in msft
3-5 years to get l7...if ever. And Google is known for down leveling, so don’t expect a straight equivalent transfer.
What are the chances of moving from l67 to l7?
It’s a crapshoot. Just because you’re a 67 at microsoft doesn’t mean you’ll get any guaranteed level at Google. Your better chance is to have competing offers that require a higher salary band and this higher level.
