Do interviewers during lunch also have a say in the interview feedback? Or just like Amazon they don’t influence the interview outcome at all.
Just dont say anything really stupid that would be a HR violation or something like that. Otherwise its just lunch
It's just lunch, we can't enter feedback if we wanted to.
They CAN alert the recruiter if you do something outlandish, but they have to go out of their way to do it. It's not a secret culture fit interview. Don't worry about impressing them, and feel free to ask hard questions about work/life balance, crowded offices, or whatever. (Same at Facebook.)
Ask about echo chamber and JD in lunch
You'll be fine as long as you don't sexually harass your lunch interviewer and don't say sexist/racist crap. Feel free to ask about work life balance, leadership, compensation and benefits. That is what they are there for, to ensure all questions are answered, even the ones that most people are not comfortable asking hiring managers.
Yes, they inform the hiring committee about your table manners score
Be professional and it shouldn't affect the outcome. I was so stressed on my interview day that I basically zoned out for my half my lunch. The interviewer was friendly and didn't seem to mind.
No. Lunch interviewers don't add feedback. It's a safe space for you to chat and ask questions.
