If you get an offer from Google at level 4 for example, is there room to push for level 5? Or is that non-negotiable once you receive the offer (p.s: obviously comp is negotiable, but curious about levels)
I did it. Recruiter asked for reevaluation. It worked for me. I'm L5 now. Apparently, it's rare. I mentioned this in another thread and the recruiters ganged up on me. Search for it, you'll find all the details in that thread.
The thread is called "Google Leveling"
Anyone have a link? Can’t find it.
Seriously? https://us.teamblind.com/s/h3XVCouS
My friend did it
Yes, you can do so and it will work in favor of you unless you didn't do well in the interview. They might look at your level in the current company, career trajectory, complexity of previous projects that you have worked on, leadership roles held, support of the hiring manager, your skill set and your interview performance to assign you the right level Sometimes recruiters do bluff to make you accept an offer. Don't get carried away.
Why Google? Use this offer to get better TC and level in FB.
Probably, check out http://levels.fyi

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
Yes have a friend who did it. I didn’t because I thought I’d rather be under leveled than over. Turns out I was under leveled and the promo process here is so ridiculous that I’m really mad at myself for not pushing for L6 before.
