Hi! Just got an offer for G Germany for an L4 position. Base: 80k Bonus: 15% Stock: 16k (65k over 4 years) All numbers in euros I think base looks good but stock grant is very low. Also, I was thinking on pushing back and ask for a sign on bonus. Anyone from G Europe that can chime in? I’d like to know how far will this salary get me in a country where taxes are extremely high (42%). And how much more can I push back. PS: we all know compensation in Europe sucks compared to the USA. But I’m ok with it. PS2: i know Zurich is a higher paying country with lower taxes...but it’s got to be Germany :)
Looks like lowballing
It is 👌 for 🇩🇪. And Zurich is not a country, it is a city in 🇨🇭. /s
Yeah, my bad. I’ve been there though, it isn’t like i know no geography lol justa mistake
Oh man, I’ll be nicer to my coworkers in Germany from now on
I laughed out loud (live in Germany)
experience ?
How was your interview? LC Med?
Those are in euros right?
Yeah euros
Is there any particular reason for not going to Google Zurich then? Salary differences are quite radical. I always wonder why is it so given europe's open borders and similar economic conditions among powerhouse countries.
Omg... and 40% tax in Germany 😅. Are you sure you’ll be able to pay your rent?
Munich? That's pretty low, can get better offers in poor but sexy Berlin.
Looks like a L3 offer but if you can't get a better counter offer might as well be happy with this
Hi! Are you working in Munich office in order to associate OP offer with L3?
Damn that looks like a US level 0 offer
