Google offer, tell my boss where I’m going?

I’m struggling to decide the pros and cons of sharing my destination. I like the idea of getting walked out while still being paid for my two week notice period. However, does telling them my destination pose any big problems I might not be thinking of? E.g. rehire-ability, company interference in my new opportunity, etc.?

My org doesn’t walk people out when they leave, so YMMV.

It's weird that you wouldn't tell them if they ask. They can just look it up on LinkedIn anyways.

Don't share. It's going to cause more problems than it's worth.

What problems for example?

It you signed a non compliance agreement, if they know someone who works there and badmouth you to them (so petty but I've seen it happen). If your boss wants to work there and expects a referral.

They are welcome to try and figure out which one of the 131,000 Microsoft employees that I am.

Haha found you. You said a similar phrase the first day you talked to me. Now let me make your life miserable(again?)😛

I told my customer after getting Google offer. Company policy is immediate walk out. But, you will be employed for 2 week without any access. There is no problem with rehire ability.

Most of peers get jealous and angry 😡. Don’t tell.

This is your moment. I’m assuming you don’t have FU money since you work at MS, but you have this. Use it. Flaunt it.
