Google onsite - Is system design interview easier than coding?

For my on-site the recruiter gave me a choice to either do 4 coding interviews or 3 coding and 1 system design. 5th interview would be behavioral. I've been studying grokking, DDIA, so I'm not a total newbie at sys design. But, I have more experience with coding interviews than system design, and after seeing some of the crazy algorithm questions people get at Google onsite, feel like it would better my chances to do system design than potentially face more Leetcode hards. Has anyone faced a similar choice? TC: 140k

YOE? Could help you get L4 if you are borderline L3-L4

IMO you should just do what you are most comfortable with, which sounds like coding. Thinking of another coding round as another chance to showcase your ability.

Would like to know this too. I didn't have one this time around but wondering if it's anything like Amazon's

I’ve heard behavior round is introduced recently. So what level are you interviewing for? Recruiter give you default no behavior round?
