Hello All, i am from distributed systems background and got an offer from Google for L4 but due to less head count got a GCP internal business software team. I really want to work at Google. YOE: 3.5 What to do in this sotuation?
Why don't you wait for other teams? It took me 4 months after offer to find a team I wanted
Not sure about team match. Recruiter told it was the only team interested and I want to switch soon due to plans.
Just tell them you would like to look at other teams when they're available. You passed HC right?
Can you share your TC details for this position?
155/300/25
What do you mean by “internal business software”? Will you be creating internal tools? Or are you creating a product that helps onboard customers?
It is in-house software used by GCP. There is good learning in terms of language and database but not much in terms of concepts.

Is working at google more important than selling your soul and working on things that will only set you down in your projected career ambitions ? If yes, joining google makes sense.
For only one year after that I plan to internally switch. No one is anyways destined to stick to one technology for whole life. We are here to learn and explore.
Also I am able to put in effort to get into Google now not sure later with more responsibilities if I will be able to do that. Switching internally might be easy than cracking google later I think.
