Google vs LinkedIn
Which company to choose? Comparable TC (both at about 450k tc) Work wise: LinkedIn’s work seem more interesting How does refreshers compare between the two? Pros and cons I could think of: - immediate monthly vesting of equity in google vs 1yr cliff and then quarterly vesting in LI - unlimited pto in linkedIn, 2 weeks paid shutdown (july 4 and christmas week) vs 15days pto in goog - Impact wise seems LinkedIn might be better - smaller company compared to google and heard promos are very tough in goog (L5+) - growth opportunities? - google has brand name. - refreshers? - culture?
what's the level and TC breakdown?
about 210-215 base and rest in equity ~800-850k rsu
obviously google...?
What level in Linkedin, staff ?
How many years of experience do you’ve? Are you a data scientist or general engineer?
Really depends on the role.
Don’t listen to what LinkedIn the recruiters tell you. It’s nothing close to what the job will actually be. Be sure what you are getting into

Chose LI over Goog. Depends on the role really!
Does location matter to you? Also consider which product excites you more and the manager you'll be reporting to.
Which team?
Since it was acquired by Microsoft, I am not sure how long LinkedIn might sustain these salaries. I would imagine most people in Ms might not be too pleased with the disparity.
