I have been passively blinding and watching people get offers left and right and I wanted to give it a shout and tried out some interviews and got addicted to it. I was able to get 5 offers within a month but still not satisfied there is no stock sharing offers yet so, in my opinion, offers become useless compared to FAANG or other combination company offers...

I have a request from my seniors to advice me what should I do next should stay in my current company study more and get 2-300k TC offers or accept one of the offers and step up on the ladder within the company.

Intuit 166K
Macy's 157K + 10K Bonus
Walmart 150K + 15K Bonus + 3 K sign up
Cisco 150K and negotiating to 175 K
USBank 137K + 20.5K bonus + 6K sign up

If you can suggest me which one and why it will be nice to choose that it will help alot for me to make a decision in my career. or other options would be none of them and study more and get a better offer.

If you’re at a point in life where you want to take it easy with average to slightly above average pay then Intuit. Otherwise interview more

Agree. Also your YOE, current TC, current location, new job location, cost of living and personal preference/passion in tech stacks used by each of these companies and the team you may end up joining should play a big role in determining what’s best for you. It’s not either or between these companies and FAANG! This can be a step towards your dream of working for FAANG eventually specially if you believe you don’t have the experience or confidence at the moment to interview at FAANG but your offered TC is significantly higher then current TC. Remember money is money whether it comes from FAANG or non-FAANG.

Although these companies don’t compare to FAANGs in terms of TC or name brand, they still offer value depending on what you seek.

Tech stack at Intuit is React, NodeJS, Java, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS.

Intuit offer does not include RSUs and signing bonus? Don’t hesitate to leverage your other offers to get a better TC, RSUs and signing bonus from Intuit and vice-versa. Intuit also pays relocation so don’t hesitate to ask for it if you need it in addition to RSUs and bonus. You have a good problem on your hand. Use it to your advantage. If you don’t ask you’ll never get it - remember that:)

I have no idea how you got an Intuit offer without the bells and whistles. Yeah, you can easily hold out and get more.

Sorry, but none of them seems attractive from both company brand and TC perspectives

Bro you fucked up. If you had solved some proper leets instead of interviewing at companies you are unsure of joining, you would have likely cracked faang by now.

Yes, Amazon is I feel the easiest to crack if you consider that as part of faang, with your experience(from what I understand and have seen people with front end under their belt as main experience are given lesser of a priority) you'll probably come in at L5 or sde 2 where 300K is a stretch (200-240 is what's generally offered) but SDE 2 at Google or FB with competing offers from the other can get you at 300K

More than money, I don't see any of them working on cutting edge technology. Having said that, which cities are these offer in because I know Intuit has presence in Dallas and Bay area. 167k in Dallas is a lot but in Bay area not so much. So add more details.

I was thinking Walmart for get me handle performance matters in my field but yesterday Cisco entered the scenario if they can do 175 I think they will be leader but a lot of friends are telling me Cisco do mass fires no matter how good engineer you are. They lay off entire group sometimes. And in Cisco I’ll be lead developer will have exposure to pretty much everything.

Avoid Cisco unless you want to worry about being laid off every single quarter, no raises, and pay cuts.

Have you even tried faang, bro? I’d at least give it a try before accepting these. It also depends, do you want more wlb or to work at a hot company?

Not yet, I was scared to get rejected didn’t even apply yet. I only did 120 leet code and goal was apply after reaching 200. But was able to breeze thru interviews. I should cramp more and try apply faaang with Referal so that it will be fast process.

Which one if any are you passionate about? It doesn’t seem like any? Accept the one you’re excited about, can learn something, if so.

If not, Nice ego boost, now focus on your goal

    PS as a recruiter I suggest/ request giving a quick answer. :)
