My interview timings were misaligned and my msft offer was expiring before my fb onsite. Msft offer 110k base 150k stock 50k signing Fb offer 118k base 150k stock 75k signing I'm thinking about keeping my end of the bargain with Msft since 25k really isn't worth reneging, and maybe try again for E4 at fb with 1.5 yoe. Thoughts? TC: 0, new grad
Reneging is bad but you may learn more at FB as new grad
FB is suicide hub. Enjoy your stay at MS
What’s best for you - that’s what you do. If you want to join FB, do that. If you want to join Microsoft, do that. Don’t worry too much about ‘’keeping your end of the bargain”. You are not that important and no one cares. It’s at will employment. You can leave any time you want, and you haven’t even joined. You are welcome.
Thanks
Dude stay with msft If it was some no name startup, sure fine, reneg. You dont want to reneg a big N company
If I were you, I'd take the MSFT offer since you already accepted.....unless you let them know about the FB thing during the process. This type of thing can get you black balled in some industries. Work there, gain experience then move on.....$25K isn't really much to worry about fresh out of college especially if it's just the signing bonus and has no impact on your guaranteed bottom line.
Meet a giant fish.
I believe the msft offer is maxed out for L59 new grad. You can try going for L60, which is 118k in base.
Can I still nego after signing the offer? I thought that was frown upon
Reneg if you don’t mind being blacklisted
Blacklisted from a shit company is more like whitelisted 🤔
Reneg msft, and join fb.
