I’m not in SWE, I’m in sales, but seeing the RSU amount for L6 here on teamblind I feel a bit screwed lol. Im happy to be working for Google and super grateful (hell im a high school dropout autodidact who at 19 got deported from South Africa lol). I guess I’ll actually need to save money for a deposit and buy a house the traditional way! This is my first FANG experience and my first time ever having stock as part of compensation.

Your tcomp base+ salary compensate for the rsu Technical L6 220 + 20% = 260 Yours Sales L6 270 + 30% = 350 350-260 = 90k 90k*4 = 360k equivalent rsu over 4 years 360k+100k = 460k grant for technical roles..... Your offer is good the structure is different Other way to compare is by looking at your TC 375k
