Got promoted to SR TPM. PCS is lesser than expected.

Joined Amazon on March 2015 as TPM 2 (L5) in Seattle. In this cycle promoted to TPM 3 (L6). Here is my new compensation. Is it reasonable for new L6 TPM?

New Base - 131 K
Stocks for 2020 (Allocated this year only) - 16 (1461 is the grant price)

By calculating 2.5% increase in base for next 2 years and 15% increase in stock price for next 2 years my target comp for 2020 becomes 168 K

Am I underpaid? If yes, then how much?

I’m surprised TPMs exists, it would be more effective to give SDMs executive assistants!

L5 TPM, Seattle - 131 base and 20 stocks for both 2019 and 2020... so ur pay is pathetically low for an L6 TPM... did u receive ur ratings this year? Hope u r not on a dev plan?

Could you plz share ur total Industry experience and when did you join Amazon? It doesn't make sense that you are getting same amount of stocks for 2019 and 2020. 2019 stocks are allotted last year. So that number must be higher than 2020.

Industry experience doesn't really matter.. but anyways, I have 8 years of professional experience and master's degree here in the US... joined last feb and I got 125k base, 50k bonus and 75 stocks at the time of joining... I got TT rating and 5% hike this year... hope that make sense now

It really depends on experience and performance. Also depends on what you were making before. 10% increase seems to be the normal jump with promotion

What is taget fr this year and 2019? Why you are not mentioning that? Fr 2020 , there is scope for increase in 2019 appraisal

      OP
Target for this year and 2019 will be well above the bar because current year rsu are awarded in 2015 when I joined when the share price was 350. 2019 also will be well above because share value almost got doubled. So, always looking at newly awarded rsu makes sense because that is how we can know how much Amazon is willing to pay us. I don't think Amazon will award any new rsu for 2020 next year unless shares do not perform as per the expectations.

It's not like that....I myself got stocks for both 2019 and 2020..it's normal to get stock fr next year..lots of my colleagues have got that..

You mean you got stocks for both 2019 and 2020 this time even though stock prices went under from 830 to 1460?? U hot promoted this time? I don't believe this can happen unless you are a big shot like L7 or above?

Not sure if geo makes a diff. But l5 tpm in Sunnyvale easily cracks $225. Most pulling $250+ with how the stock is growing . L6 is easily 250+

What do you mean by 400? Their midpoint target comp is 400? Even paysa doesn't say this. In genral paysa is towards higher end.

Keep in mind that AMZN has grown at the rate of 30% since 2003.

The market is predicting that AMZN will grow at the same rate if not higher.

Your TC in my understanding for 2020 is at least 180-190K.
