Hi! I am a student about to graduate from an Australian University. I'm currently doing an internship with SAP in their presales department, but it's not software eng - where my skillset lies. I'd love to be able to secure a good grad job straight out of university ($90k AUD+). I don't particularly care where, but I'm aiming high so that I can have doors opened later on (so ideally, America). I graduate mid 2020, so I will start my applications for a 2021 intake very soon! My current plan: - Going through Elements of Programming Interviews, 2 hours a day for around 2 months. - Start of next year, grinding leetcode every day. - Same time, reach out to recruiters letting them know I've applied and yada yada Resume brief: - Hobby project, made in react, redux, typescript, node. Just crossed 8,000 unique users and 15k sessions. - I'm a tutor at university (teaching Java to second year undergrads). May be head tutor next semester! Other: - Attended 5 hackathons this year. Regularly attend Meetups. Concern: I'm putting in all this effort for interview prep - but I just fear my resume not even getting seen, or discarded by an ATS. America seems like a pipe dream. I just want to get at least an interview by all companies I'll apply to. If you've made it this far, would you know of any kind person that would let me send them my resume for a review or have a chat?
I'd be happy to take a look at your resume. Note, The Trade Desk is also hiring devs in AU as well US.
Try to get referrals. Much better than applying through ATS portals.
Ping me your resume.
