What about just renting? Not everyone is planning on commiting to a house at the moment.
Also the more affordable houses aren't exactly profitable/easy rentals either if you aren't planning to live in them yourself for a while Some of us don't plan to be tied to this area long enough for buying to make sense
Exactly. I'm just renting for the foreseeable future. I'm appalled that's was not an option in the poll.
Why would someone hope for a crash...? If the real estate crashes, your job and tc will crash too. Just cannot understand why people are good at leetcode but suck at real life problems
They probably think that LeetCode is a real life problem
I don't understand the appeal to home ownership. Most of us are young, wealthy, and can work from anywhere. Why is everyone rushing to be tied down?
I'm in bay area, but although I can afford a house (under 1.2), I opted to save money and go for an apartment for a modest 3k/month
