Guy friend said he was bi
Straight guys of blind, how would you react if your good friend told you he was bi? Would you start hanging out with him less? Would you start to second judge his every action as coming on to you? Would you rethink the friendship in anyway?

The reason men and women often aren’t best friends I think has less to do with the potential for sexual relationships, and more with the differences of the sexes. A lot of bi and gay guys are just guys. They go for “types,” like you do for women. Chances are pretty good you’re not they’re type.

I agree with the comment above that it’s not about you. It takes guts to come out as bi or gay or queer. If you’re scared of anything sexual or rape happening to you, his good friend, then I’m afraid that says more about you than him. Him coming out doesn’t change who he has been to you. If he hadn’t been kind to you, then there’s no point of the friendship.
It absolutely does not take guts to come out as bi or gay in 2018
