Hey, I got a Program Manager offer from FB last week. Submitted all the paperwork for H1b transfer to BAL today. Curious to know how long they take to file the petition with USCIS?
@OP - Can you share more details? I’m from a non CS background (civil engineer) looking to transition to data science. I’m worried about getting an rfe due to irrelevant educational background. Did BAL get around this in your case?
I DM’ed you Edit: DM’ed for more specific reasons/questions. For the main question sure I can share my experience. The RFE yes the government is asking a lot these days thanks to the ramp up on immigration attention of this administration. However as long as the paperwork is filled out correctly, this scenario for H1B transfers are still rarely getting RFE. When it happens, it happens. FB will not rescind. They’ve already sunk a lot of money into you for one. Two, it’s just part of the process and they know it. Just hold tight and don’t worry. Hey, do you mind sharing here? Might be helpful for other viewers to read your info too.
What do you mean by “paperwork is filled out correctly”? I saw a lot of people here have a legit fte job with level 4 salary and education background mathcing their job got RFE
