Hi, my i94 is valid till jul 2019. I am planning to join Amazon with H1 b receipt. What if my h1b transfer denied in let’s say Jan? Do I get to reapply again based on my i94 or should I leave immediately? My current job is killing me and I am looking to come out ASAP. Please suggest.
Aren’t these questions supposed to be discussed with your attorney instead of posting it here on blind?
Do you see anything wrong in posting here? OP is just trying to see if people know more info about this and not expert opinion.
Lot of suggestions here can be misleading. Each case differs by situation and luck (unfortunately). It is always a best bet to consulate an expert rather than post on internet and getting varied responses!
Why not pay a small fees to lawyer and get legal advice . That would be more useful than people here . That being said here are my 2 cents Your I 94 does not matter. If your visa got denied then ask your company to file again. If they don’t then switch and file with another company. Until it’s pending , you can stay and work. When denial comes , file again . Basically lawyers files a response to RFE. If denial came then they can challenge that denial and also file a concurrent new application in parallel. Lawyers have lot of tricks under the sleeve . Spend 100-200 bucks and get a legal advice .
Don’t leave, you won’t be able to come back.
You will be in better hands at Amazon rather than Cognizant. Amazon will relocate you to other country if things don’t worked out. I believe you want to join Amazon irrespectively whether it’s India or USA or Canada.
Spot on ! You nailed it 😀

Leave immediately. And returning could be a pain because it means that you were in the states illegally for the past two months.
I don't think OP's visa is denied.. It is a hypothetical.. His i94 is valid till next year mid
Yeah, it was hypothetical but wanted to check the possibilities. Can’t I stay here till i94 expires??
