Hello. I’m switching to FAANG as a program manager. My case explained below. Current role: Sr Analyst FAANG: Program manager Masters in management information systems in US Bachelors in Computers, stats and math in India Overall 8+ years experience (2.6 years in USA) H1 transfer filed: 13th June Receipt date: 15th June California professing center Is uscis just backlogged on professing transfer applications ? Please comment if someone else is in a similar situation.
I know but another friend who filed on 17th and receipt notice 19th at CSC got an approval today
Mine was filed on the 17th and not even a receipt so far. Yep, it is being premium processed btw.
Wow this tells me USCIS is not processing it serially. A few of my friends got approval without a receipt notice so @amazon you never kno
Btw does USCIS also send out approvals on weekends ?
Based on ur receipt that u got on saturday, i guess so
OP, I had the exact dates as yours (filing and receipt generation) and I just received the approval today evening. Don't sweat. You should most likely hear back before the end of this week.
Hey. How did u know if its approved this evening? Did u check or ur lawyer told u?
I had the receipt number and checked the status on USCIS portal. It turned to approved earlier today afternoon. Then about 6-7 hours later the lawyer notified me that they received an approval notification too.
RFE issued today. I think BAL lawyers screwed up. Not sure how long this process is going to take now.
Does it say RFE issued on the online portal? Or did the lawyers notify you?
Hang in there. Might be RFE for some stupid reason in which case the turnaround time will be quick. But start preparing an exhaustive list of your new job duties and make it sound technical and in line with your educational background and the SOC code used on ur application
@jobhunters - I’m sort of in a similar situation. Have got an offer for Program Manager role at one of the FANG and BAL will file H1-B next week. I have sort of similar background as yours. I’m expecting an RFE as my masters is in a Non CS engineering field and role is more on the operational side. Quick q - is the the Program Manager role of yours more on the technical or business side?
@credit suisse it’s on the business side not a TPM. Good luck with BAL. Hope they explain your case properly in the petition. Ensure that your case is presented well.
Thanks for the detail. Hope you’re RFE gets cleared soon :) BAL will be filing next week and haven’t asked me for the LCA job code or description. So I guess all I can do is hope for the best! Keep us updated on any progress on your end. Edit: Also I was going to through bunch of successful H1B petitions for Program Manager role and almost all of them have the SOC job code 13-1111 (Management Analysts). Maybe that is something you can bring up with BAL.
Thanks a lot. I’ll look into that and keep you posted on how this goes.
Its 15 calendar days. Calm down
